Over the past 22 years we have been involved in various endeavors. At the present time our focus is on assisting handicapped adults find meaningful employment. My Brother's Helper, Inc., is a vendor with the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitated Services. Along with assisting handicapped individuals, we also help formerly incarcerated men and women obtain employment.
About our organization: My Brother's Helper, Inc. was founded by me, Doug Reeves, as a non-profit organization in 1988. I am a layman just like many of you; and, just like you, I want to bring a Christian perspective to the world around us. Why? Because we are engaged in a culture war that is eating away at the very fabric of our society, and is especially affecting our children. Christianity is a world view that offers hope through Jesus Christ. We should never forget that we are engaged in a war of sorts against a world view called Naturalism. Join in the fight---let your light shine. Don't just be a Christian---do good works. One way you can be involved is by supporting organizations that have a world view that is consistent with your values and beliefs.
My Brother's Helper Inc. was founded in 1988. In 1989 we were chartered as a non-profit. For over 20 years M.B.H. Inc. has supported many worthy causes:
1. We have assisted thousands of handicapped adults in returning to work. In 2008 we began assisting people with kidney disease.
2. The sanctity of human life: All of our board members believe that every life is a gift from God. We are involved in pro-life marches, and the dissemination of information to produce a more informed public. Please see Pro-Life Info above.
3. In the past we operated a home for people with AIDS.
4. We have worked with homeless adults helping them to obtain job seeking and job keeping skills. This resulted in many of them finding meaningful employment.
5. We are involved in a mentoring program for fatherless teenage boys. Hundreds of teenagers are growing up in a single parent environment. We assist by finding a male role model/mentor. In America we are in a culture war. Secularism is eating away at the very fabric of our society. Children are paying the price. Young boys need to experience sound male role modeling. An effective mentor can teach kiddos to set and achieve goals, build relationships, develop self-worth and confidence. Please see Mentoring.
6. Teenagers and adults may perform community service hours at our facility in Richardson.
7. We support foreign missions. We support the Todd Rosenwald family. They are missionaries in China. See China Missions above.
You can assist us by:

* Praying for us. Remember that our overall goal is making the public aware that Christianity is a world view, and presenting this world view to our society. Christianity is the only world view that God supports.
* Making donations. John 3:16 is a foundation for the Christian world view. Please donate $3.16 to help us. See donations link.
